3d Renderings of the Bike Park
Bike Park Area and Design
Bike Park Barrier: Surrounding the entire park, there will be a 25’ gap between the existing fence and the bike park construction area. This barrier will leave room around the park for families and parents to gather. Will also leave room if picnic tables or other structures are wanting to be added.
Bike Park Area: The Bike Park area will be enclosed in a 200’x375’ half circle.
Square Footage: 55,725 sq. ft. *Estimated area does not include the 25’ barrier around the park.
Bike Park Overlay
Beginner Pump Track Area: A smaller asphalt paved beginner and adaptive bike friendly pump track. Wider and more mellow turns.
Advanced Pump Track Area: An industry standard asphalt paved pump track. This pump track will have a raised starting and ending platform.
Skills Zone/Cross Country Loop: A cross country loop with skill building features. Wood skinny features, dr0ps and a-frame type wood structures.
Jump Zone: Two jump lines of varying skill levels, beginner, intermediate, and advanced. No gap jumps but as the lines increase in difficulty the jumps will get larger.
Parking Lot Entrance: From the North there will be a direct entrance to the bike park.
ADA Entrance: From the East will be a separate ADA entrance to the bike park.
Proposed Pump Tracks
Beginner Pump Track: There will be no heights larger than 2’ on this pump track. This will allow for mellower turns and more manageable rollers for beginner riders and adaptive bikes.
Adding an outer and inner loop will also keep this track more interesting and allow for more options for riders.
Advanced Pump Track: To keep this pump track different then the pump tracks in neighboring towns a set start and end will allow for a different experience.
A different variety of features also allows for a more interesting ride and experience.
Proposed Jump Zone
Beginner: Coming off of a lower(3’ high) starting platform will allow for beginners to start at a lower speed. The line will consist of rollers and table top jumps no taller than 2-3’ tall and no longer than 10-12’ long.
Intermediate/Advanced: Combining these two lines allows for more interesting options to keep the riders excitement levels higher.
Intermediate Line: Table top jumps 3-4’ tall and 12-14’ long table tops.
Advanced Line: Table top jumps with varying size takeoffs. 4-6’ tall 14-18’ long jumps.
Return Trail: The return trail will double as the return back to the top of the jump lines and a connector trail to both sides of the cross country loop
Skills Zone & Cross Country Loop
Cross Country Loop: The cross country loop will work as the outer loop of the entire bike park. It will go around the entire bike park as well as work as connector trails to access the pump tracks and the jump zone.
Wood Features: The cross country loop will include separate off shoots that will include wood features.
Skinnies: Skinny wood structures that will teach balance to riders.
Wood Bridges: These features will be wooden structures and bridges of different heights .
Drops: Elevated wood structures the rider will ride off and land on a sloped dirt landing.
